IN A NUTSHELL.

With Denese’s bold eye for design and Mike’s masterful approach to building, this husband-and-wife team brings spaces to life with style, soul, and serious know-how. Denese cut her teeth in the fashion world before diving into luxury textiles and interior design, where her energetic, fearless style helps clients step outside their comfort zones and reimagine what’s possible. After the birth of their first son, Denese launched The Perfect Vignette—turning her passion for design into a full-fledged business.

Mike, raised in a multi-generational family of builders and artists, grew up on job sites and later built a career in corporate construction management. But after years of juggling both worlds, he left the corporate grind to go all-in on The Perfect Vignette—bringing his design/build expertise to the heart of the business. He now specializes in transforming the flow and function of homes, reworking layouts with a “mad scientist” touch that makes space for whatever the client dreams up—without losing the charm.

Together, they create spaces that feel fresh, personal, and deeply livable. After years in NYC and Jersey City, NJ, they moved to Boston with their three young boys and now work side-by-side to craft custom homes and renovations that tell a story. From ground-up builds to thoughtful reworks, Denese and Mike are known for turning vision into reality—and have been featured in top publications as creatives to watch.
